The KMG Center is a multifaceted complex of buildings built from scratch on 7.4 acres of land donated to KMG by the Durame Township. Construction was started in 1997, and today, the buildings that hold classes and carry on our administrative work are increasingly surrounded by beautiful native plantings where weddings and other events can be held. Formal opening is scheduled for June, 2003.

KMG has now completed several buildings, including the Women's Dialogue House, Administrative Center, Cafeteria, Guest House, Skills Training Center, and a magnificent traditional Round House, where up to 300 people can gather in a thatched building typical of Kembatta which buildings are now disappearing. All KMG buildings are built by the local workforce, including women, using available tools and appropriate technology.

A Library Resource Center has been recently completed, thanks to a grant from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the U.K. However, as with many of the other buildings in the compound, supplies are urgently needed before our doors can open. These include: furnishings, shelving, appliances, lighting fixtures, supplies, books, and technical equipment to make all these facilities fully able to serve the needs of women and their communities.
